Diary of a Palliative Care Worker

The experience of dying and death has changed Australia due to COVID19. There is limited contact when someone is dying and other general changes, such as the loss of work, social contact and other factors.

Anyone who has someone they love die knows that Palliative Care teams can be worth their weight in gold. They provide vital XXXXXX STANDARD STUFF. Alongside these expert technical skills - the kindness shown by Palliative Care teams is something so many of us cherish.

Diary of a Palliative Care worker follows the day to day experiences of Jen and Mel, two beautiful human beings who work in Palliative Care at Barwon Health. We asked them if they would document a COVID19 diary with us - to share their acts of kindness that transform the lives of people who are dying and of their families. We also asked them to share other acts of kindness their Palliative Care Unit come across or experience.

Dear Diary

Hi everyone, we are so pleased to be starting this diary in Palliative Care week  because WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU. We want to show you the power of Palliative Care teams to transform the lives of people who are dying.  SOMETHING MORE
We are going to try to post four times a week and we will share the posts below, for people who dont have Facebook. If you want to share a message with us, please DO?/
