Kindness for Health Care Workers

We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to health care workers who continue to go to work to ensure that people who have Coronavirus (and those who are otherwise unwell) receive the care they need. Health care workers are experiencing difficult times - coronavirus is placing significant strain on health services, some patients are frustrated and taking their frustrations out on staff.

Without our healthcare workers there would be no healthcare for those who are unwell. We need to be kind to our healthcare workers.

The Campaign for health care workers

Full details of the Campaign will be launched soon. Members of #TheKindnessPandemic are telling us that they want a focus on good behaviour by patients accessing health services ... more on that soon. We are pleased to launch the first action in our Campaign - the Health Care Hero Award.

Health Care Hero Awards

We are proud to launch our Health Care Hero Award. These beautiful social media images have been designed for community members to share with health care workers in their family and friendship circles. Please do not send them to health services directly - we do not want to make them busier.
  1. Choose an award and download it to your device (phone, tablet, computer)
  2. Post it to a friend or family member though your personal Facebook, Twitter, Link'd In and Instagram
  3. In your post/tweet tell us who you are giving the award to and why
  4. Use the Hashtag so we can find you #TheKindnessPandemic
  5. Do NOT send this to a health service directly - we dont want to make services busier managing emails about this
  6. Do NOT post to #TheKindnessPandemic group - your post will not be approved. This Campaign is for sharing across social media more broadly.
